Historia pewnej piosenki: You Think You're A Man - Divine

Największy hit legendarnej Drag Queen.

Postać Divine wykreował nieżyjący już amerykański aktor, Harris Glenn Milstead (ur. 19 października 1945 r. w Towson, w stanie Maryland, zm. 7 marca 1988 r., w Los Angeles). Swoją karierę rozpoczął on od występów w filmach Johna Watersa - zagrał m.in. w obrazoburczej produkcji Pink Flamingos (Różowe flamingi, 1972) oraz w kryminale dedykowanym Charlesowi "Teksowi" Watsonowi (członkowi rodziny Mansona) - Female Trouble (1974). 

Na początku lat 80. "boski" Milstead postanowił zostać również królową dyskotek. Za życia wydał w sumie 5 albumów. Jego piosenki cieszyły się sporą popularnością w Europie, Ameryce i Australii.

You Think You're A Man to największy hit Divine. W 1984 roku utwór zajął 16. miejsce w angielskim programie Stock, Aitken and Waterman i 8. w australijskim Top 10. 

Kawałek napisał Geoffrey Deane, wyprodukowali go natomiast Barry Evangeli i Pete Waterman. Piosenka pojawiła się singlu: You Think You're a Man (winyl, 7", 12" Proto Records 1984) oraz na albumach: The Story So Far (winyl, LP, Bellaphon 1984) i Maid In England (CD, Galaxis 1988).
