Steve Jones kojarzony jest przede wszystkim jako gitarowa podpora Sex Pistols, ewentualnie etatowy muzyk Iggy'ego Popa*. Mało kto już dziś pamięta, że artysta próbował również kariery solowej. W drugiej połowie lat 80. wydał dwa albumy utrzymane w klimacie hardrockowym - Mercy ('87) i Fire and Gasoline ('89). Utwór tytułowy z debiutanckiego krążka Jonesa trafił nawet na ścieżkę dźwiękową serialu Miami Vice (u nas znanego lepiej jako Policjanci z Miami).
